The Tahoma Bears showed why they
are currently ranked 2nd in the state (See Rankings).
Just three Falcon wrestlers managed to come away with wins. In
just the second match of the night, Sean Cavanagh was the first
Falcon to put points on the board. For most of this season, Cavanagh
has been wrestling with a healing fracture in his eye socket. So he
wrestles with a red mask that just looks otherworldly. And tonight
his moves were as intimidating as his mask as he went on to score 20
points a technical fall against Tahoma's Matt Hopkins in the 145 lb.
weigh class. Tahoma then went on to win the next two matches before
Jesse Keliiliki pinned Tahoma's Michael Blake 1:14 into the 2nd
round in the 171 lb. class. Tahoma pinned in the following 6 matches
before Kentlake's Tyler Potts came away with a close 4 - 2 win
against Tahoma's Jesse Vaughn in the 125 lb. weight
class.
